Overview
This article describes the automatic update process for the OC Scanner and outlines the requirements necessary to ensure successful updates.
Automatic update methods
- OC Scanner can be done directly
- Via OC Configurator
Requirements for automatic updates
To ensure the OC Scanners can update automatically, the following internet connectivity must be open on the OC scanners:
-
*.octopus.cloud (HTTP/HTTPS)
-
*.octopuscloud.ch (HTTP/HTTPS)
-
http://cacerts.digicert.com/DigiCertSHA2AssuredIDCodeSigningCA.crt
Update from the central OC Configurator server only works if the OC Configurator has Internet access to all the mentioned URLs, and if the OC Scanners have access to the certificate endpoints on the Internet:
- http://crl4.digicert.com/sha2-assured-cs-g1.crl
- http://ocsp.digicert.com
Manual update option
If automatic updates are not possible, you can perform a manual update using. Please contact our Support Team over support@octopus.cloud.
